Happy Vegas ("we", "our", or "the app") is a free mobile application that helps users discover restaurants, happy hour deals, and nightlife venues in Las Vegas, Nevada. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Account Information

If you create an account (via Sign in with Apple or email), we collect:

• Name (first and last)
• Email address
• Username
• Phone number (optional)
• Travel dates (optional)

If you use Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email address. We respect this choice and will use the private relay email provided by Apple.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the app, including:

• Favorite venues you save
• Your Top 5 picks
• Friends list and friend requests

Guest Users

You can use Happy Vegas as a guest without creating an account. Guest data (favorites, preferences) is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the app's features
• Sync your favorites and Top 5 lists across your devices
• Enable social features (friends, shared Top 5 lists, activity feed)
• Improve and personalize your experience

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

Happy Vegas uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication, cloud database for user profiles and favorites. Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google AdMob — Displays advertisements in the free version of the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. Google Privacy Policy

You can remove all ads by purchasing the ad-free upgrade ($4.99) within the app.

Data Storage & Security

Account data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore) with access restricted to authenticated users. Guest data is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by:

• Using the "Clear Profile" option in the app's Profile screen
• Contacting us at the email address below

Upon account deletion, we will remove your profile, favorites, Top 5 lists, and friend connections from our servers within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Happy Vegas is not intended for children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app contains references to alcohol, bars, and nightlife establishments. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 17, we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of personalized advertising (via iOS Settings > Privacy > Tracking)
• Use the app as a guest without providing personal information

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
